I really like MAX & Gwen, but not as much as Devon & Olivia. I am hoping that Cavans story is a bit more interesting and a bit longer since I have had to pay so much for these last two books. The first one was free and it was great! So great that I immediately purchased the remaining two. This one was so short it was almost over before it began. This story was actually a part of the first book via reference and referred back to the first quite frequently. I feel like I got roped in to paying for the second half of the first book, which was free. 😟😒😡Product details

I don't even think I have the words. I started reading this book and could not put it down. It's now 230 am and I have to be up for work in less than 5 hours. That is how engrossed and utterly in thrall I was by this story. The characters of Max and Gwen are complicated and rich and so real. Their struggle, pain, and passion makes it hard to breathe at times. This is probably the best book I've read in a long while. You will do yourself a favor by picking up this book.
Gwen is a stripogram girl and one night she winds up at the wrong apartment. She winds up at Max's apt an ex-Marine who lost his leg. She doesn't care about the leg just the way he makes her feel. Max doesn't think anyone will want him with his leg and Gwen has issues that she needs to deal with. Can they help each other?
Real people with real problems in today's crazy world. Sexy, steamy, honest and well written could we ask for more. Enjoyed the characters throughout this crazy tale and like the first in the series left me wanting more. Recommended to all of you who are not prudes or dislike sexy scene! So go get it already!
I liked this one almost as much as the first. It was nice to see Max, who'd been introduced in Book one, get his own HEA. He was a fun character and Gwen was a good foil for him. My only complaint was that the whole thing was too short, and things happened very quickly. Some parts felt a little rushed, and not as genuine as they might have been if the author had taken some extra time. All in all, still a very good read.
An amputee vet just wants to relax when a stripper shows up. This was a very well done book. I loved the first one and I'm finishing the 3rd book in the series now. I must say that I'm a fan of these MEN. That's right readers - these books contain MEN and not boys! THANK YOU, JULIE KRISS for writing about real men and developing these stories so fantastically! I would HIGHLY recommend this series to anyone looking for a very well developed series.
Loved Gwen and Max! Max is struggling with PTSD and the loss of his leg in Afghanistan! It has been a four year struggle with multiple surgeries and therapy. Then, a knock on his door changes everything! He opens the door to a stripper, Gwen, but she has the wrong apartment number. They have sex. Both are shocked at the connection. And they are connected in many levels. She just happens to be Olivia's sister. Olivia is Max's best friend's girlfriend. This was a really touching read. Max is a Marine who will not leave a man behind. 5 stars.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the first book I've read by this author, and it won't be the last! I really like the way the author creates her characters and storyline. Although this is the second book in the Bad Billionaires series, it can be read as a standalone book. The couple from the first book shows up a lot in this book, but It never confused me. It just made me want to go back and read their story too.
This book was difficult to put down. Both Max and Gwen had pasts that caused them to shut others out before they could get too close. The chemistry between Max and Gwen is instant and HOT!! But neither one will let the other get close. It was a slow build as they let themselves open up to have feelings andmaybe a relationship over time. They began to share things with each other that they never shared with anyone else. And the sex between the two was hot!! The author dealt well and seriously with the mental and physical toll a war injury can take on a soldier's daily life. Well worth reading!
